Natural rubber is a polymer primarily composed of the organic compound polyisoprene, along with minor impurities. It is harvested as a latex from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree. Natural rubber compounds are exceptionally flexible, good electrical insulators, and are resistant to many corrosive substances. It is used in medical devices, surgical gloves, aircraft and car tires, bumpers, vibration mounts, gaskets, pacifiers, clothes, toys, etc.
